LAST TARGET - HISTORY 2001~2004 2001 October Thug Murder breaks up December Ryoko (Lead Vo/Gu), Hideo (Lead Vo/Gu), Joe (Ba/Cho) and Yuki (Dr/ Cho) meet and Last Target starts activities. 2002 January Starting with a first show at Shinjuku Jam in Tokyo Last Target plays shows around Japan and overseas concurrently recording their first 7 EP, released in Japan on Ryoko's Luck Records Japan Ltd. and in the USA on San Francisco based TKO Records. In March Last Target launches their first all Japan tour, booking and promoting it themselves. Also Last Target is included in TKO's compilation record "Punch Drunk 4." April Last Target plays their first USA tour--the first half of which they play with Minneapolis' A Street Punk Band and A-Bomb Nation (ex Code 13), the later half of the tour is played with Philidelphia's The Boils. Other bands played with on this tour include The Casualties, Toxic Narcotic, NY Rel-X, A Global Threat, Shwill Rotten etc. June Last Target invites friends and label mates Reducers SF to play with them on a Japan tour. This is the first time for Last Target to book a tour of Japan with and for a US band. November Last Target is released on a Luck Records four song split CD "Rock 'n Roll Wisdom" with Tokyo Oi/Skinhead band One For All. Last Target goes on tour with One For All in December. 2003 January Last Target is released on a Interference Records 10 song split CD " Nobility & Nihilism" with The Boils--this being only a US release those in Japan may find it difficult to get their hands on it. March Last Target invites the Boils to tour with them in Japan. While the large number of shows played at this time provides opportunity for Last Target to grow a lot it also ends in Hideo dropping out of the band. Takayan (Gu/Cho) then joins the band. August Last Target is active playing around Tokyo and the surrounding districts of Japan. Last Target takes part in "Set You Free at Club Citta" with past tour mates Reducers SF. September Last Target goes on their second US tour: Starting on the East coast they tour their way through the Midwest to the West Coast and then finish off back on the East Coast--the whole tour lasts only one month. On tour Last Target plays with bands such as Protagonist, The Boils, The Flatliners, Adolf & the Piss Artists, Tear It Up, Reducers SF, Dropkick Muphys, Roger Miret & The Disasters, Unseen. After this tour Takayan drops out of Last Target. As soon as they get back off of the US tour Last Target invites The Forgotten on tour with them in Japan. At this point the band feels that they are capable and have matured as a band, but all of the members except Ryoko decide to leave the band for other projects -Joe joins One For All, Yuki joins The Vickers- and the band's activities are suspended. 2004 March The only remaining member, Ryoko, receives surgery and treatment for a knee injury received during the last years tour while she works to revive LastTarget as soon as possible. In March Ryoko starts writing new songs with old friend Takeshi (ex Fisher Man's). Soon they are joined by Shimoji (Disgusteens) and Shinke (Fisher Man's). The band now works relentlessly towards a revival show and the making of a full-length album. A new Last Target has started. Recording of a 13 song album which includes rerecorded Last Target titles as well as new songs commences. July As soon as after they complete the album recording, Last Target had their first show with new members at Shimokitazawa Era in Tokyo. This show was played with ex.Thug Murder, ex. Last Target members' bands The Vickers and One For All and the club was packed with the fans who were waiting for the day of Last Target came back to the scene. October Last Target's 1st full-length album "ONE SHOT, ONE KILL" was released. 2005 March Shomoji (bass) stopped the band and Ryoma (bass) joins Last Target. July Last Target got to first Taiwan tour.It was sooooooo great! September 1st album "One Shot, One Kill" US released Records at BYO Records. October Last Target goes on their 3rd US Tour. It was just west coast. On Tour Last Targetplays Clit 45, The Briefs, Lost City Angels, Dropkick Murphys The Spits etc... November New member,Hayato (Bass and Chorus) joins Last Target and Ryoma started play guitar in Last Target.
